Should the drinking age be lowered to 18?

Your argumentative research paper is to be 5-6 pages of text.  You will need to consult with me on or by Wednesday, March 31 to give me your topic and thesis – and to talk about any questions you have regarding how to procede. This is the first of 4 steps.

You are responsible for having a rough draft to go over with me onor before Wednesday, April 7. The rough draft should include the following:

1. A brief working outline  2. A thesis statement   3. A works cited page with a minimum of 4 sources4. Parenthetical citations for the sources5. A minimum of 4 pages of text

The final draft is due on Wednesday, April 14. It should include the following:

1. A cover page with a title, your name, the course number and section, the professor’s (my) name, and the date that it’s handed in.

2. A brief formal outline

3. The research paper, which includes parenthetical referencing

4. A works cited page containing at least five works cited. Works should be accessed through the academic databases.( Opposing Viewpoints in Context and CQ Researcher are the best resources for argumentation.)

Any paper that doesn’t meet the standards in #3 and #4 will receive an F on sight.

Your paper is to be done in MLA style. It must be double-spaced with a 12 font size and one-inch margins. It must be done in Times New Roman. Chapter 26 (section G) in Handbook for Writers, which is available at the reference desk in the library, is an excellent reference, as is OWL (Purdue)

You are responsible for meeting with me to have your topic and thesis statement approved by March 31. If you don’t have an approved topic and thesis by then, I’ll assign a mandatory topic, or you may choose one from the list of suggested topics. These are provided only to help you get kick-started if you’re having trouble getting to a topic and thesis.

An argumentation research paper should have three parts:

1. The introduction, which leads to a thesis statement2. The body, which is the bulk of the paper. It offers evidence in the form of induction and deduction. The body must also offer rebuttal of the strongest opposing arguments. (See Patterns pages 533-4)3. The closing, which restates the thesis (in different words).

As discussed, you are responsible for understanding what does and does not constitute plagiarism. You are required to submit your paper to the dropbox for this class..   The percentage shown as a match doesn’t indicate how much is plagiarized – only what matches other submissions. You must then check the highlighted areas. Plagiarizing to any extent will result in your paper receiving an F (0 %).

You must submit your first draft by Sunday, April 11.You may make further submissions until Wednesday, April 14.

Which traits do you believe will inspire others? What qualities do you believe will foster effective leadership? Provide a minimum of three references, which may include the textbook.

APA format is required.  Solid academic writing is always expected. For all assignment delivery options, documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines.

Scholarly paper revision | Human Resource Management homework help

In its basic form, to revise means “to see again.” Building revision into your scholarly writing practice allows you to see the content again with fresh eyes. It also relieves pressure on you to write something perfect in the first draft. Through revision, you can better mold that first draft into a logically organized paper with clearer sentences and a strong scholarly voice.

Revision involves more than simply addressing spelling or grammar errors. “Seeing again” means you may need to take a risk and change something large—like the sequence of topics or the paragraph structure—in order to make a paper demonstrably better.

To Prepare

  • Do additional literature searches in the library to enrich your paper as needed.
  • Write a 1 page summary to explain your revision process. What did you revise and why? How will you prepare to apply your writing and revision process moving forward? Identify specific plans, strategies, and/or resources you will use.

Exp19_excel_ch07_cap_real_estate | excel chapter 7 real estate

You are the office manager for a real estate company in northern Utah County. You tracked real estate listings, including city, agent, listing price, sold price, etc. Agents can represent a seller, a buyer, or both (known as dual agents). Your assistant prepared the spreadsheet structure with agent names, agent types, the listing and sold prices, and the listing and sold dates. You want to complete the spreadsheet by calculating the number of days each house was on the market before being sold, agent commissions, and bonuses. In addition, you will use conditional functions to calculate summary statistics. For further analysis, you will insert a map chart to indicate the average house selling price by city. Finally, you will create a partial loan amortization table and calculate cumulative interest and principal to show a potential buyer to help the buyer make decisions.

The   spreadsheet contains codes (BA, DA, SA) to represent agent roles (Buyer’s   Agent, Dual Agent,   Seller’s Agent). You want to switch the codes for the actual descriptions.
In cell E12 of the Details sheet, insert the SWITCH function to evaluate the   agent code in cell D12. Include mixed cell references to the codes and roles   in the range J2:K4 for the values
and results arguments. use all cell references in the function. Copy the   function to the range E13:E39.

Now you want to calculate the   number of days between the list date and sale date.

In cell J12, insert the DAYS function to calculate the number of days between   the Listing Date and the Sale Date. Copy the function to the range J13:J39.

You want to calculate agent   commissions based on their role.

In cell K12, insert the IFS function to calculate the agent’s commission   based on the agent code and the applicable rates in the range L2:L4. Use   relative and mixed references correctly. Copy the function to the range   K13:K39.

You want to calculate a bonus if   the sold price was at least equal to the listing price, and if the house sold   within 30 days after being listed.

In cell L12, insert an IF function with a nested AND function to calculate a   bonus. The AND function should ensure both conditions are met: Sold Price   divided by the Listing Price is greater than or equal to 100% (cell L7) and   the Days on Market are less than or equal to 30 (cell L8). If both conditions   are met, the bonus is $1,000 (cell L9). Otherwise, the bonus is $0. Use mixed   cell references to the input values in the range L7:L9. Copy the function to   the range L12:L39.

The top-left section of the   spreadsheet is designed for summary statistics for one condition. You will   calculate average selling prices and the number of houses sold in each city   (the condition).

In cell B2, insert the AVERAGEIF function to calculate the average Sold Price   for houses in the city of Alpine. Use mixed references for the range; use a   relative reference to cell A2. Copy the function and use the Paste Formulas   option to paste the function in the range B3:B5 so that the bottom border in   cell B5 is preserved.

You want to count the number of   houses in one city.

In cell C2, insert the COUNTIF function to count the number of houses in the   city of Alpine. Use mixed references for the range; and use a relative   reference to cell A2. Copy the function and use the Paste Formulas option to   paste the function in the range C3:C5 so that the border in cell C5 is   preserved.

You want to calculate the total commissions   for each agent (the condition).

In cell B7, insert the SUMIF function to total the commissions by agent. Use   mixed references for the ranges; and use a relative reference to cell A7.   Copy the function and use the Paste Formulas option to paste the function in   the range B8:B9 so that the borders are preserved.

The top-middle section of the   spreadsheet is designed for summary statistics for multiple conditions. You   will calculate the number of houses sold for each agent when he or she served   as a Dual Agent (DA). Use mixed references for ranges and the agent code   condition in cell J3. Use relative cell references to the agent condition in   cell E2. When you copy the formulas, use the paste Formulas options to   preserve border formatting.

In cell F2, insert the COUNTIFS function in cell F2 to count the number of   houses sold by the first agent (cell E2) who was a Dual Agent (DA) (J3) for   that house. Use all cell references in the function. Copy the function to the   range F3:F4 and preserve the bottom border for cell F4.

You are ready to calculate the   total value of those houses for each agent when he or she served as a Dual   Agent (DA). Use mixed references for ranges and the agent code condition in   cell J3. Use relative cell references to the agent condition in cell E2. When   you copy the formulas, use the paste Formulas options to preserve border   formatting.

In cell G2, insert the SUMIFS function to sum the selling prices of the   houses sold by the first agent (cell E2) who was a Dual Agent (DA) (J3) for   that house. Copy the function to the range G3:G4 and preserve the bottom   border for cell G4.

Now, you will calculate the   highest-price house highest-price house sold for each agent when he or she   served as a Dual Agent (DA). Use mixed references for ranges and the agent   code condition in cell J3. Use relative cell references to the agent   condition in cell E2. When you copy the formulas, use the paste Formulas   options to preserve border formatting.

In cell H2, insert the MAXIFS function in cell H2 to display the highest-price   house sold by the first agent (cell E2) who was a Dual Agent (DA) (J3) for   that house. Copy the function to the range H3:H4 and preserve the borders in   the range H3:H4.

The Map worksheet contains a   list of cities, postal codes, and average house sales. You will insert a map   chart to depict the averages visually using the default gradient fill colors.

Display the Map worksheet, select the range B1:C5 and insert a map chart.

Cut the map chart and paste it   in cell A7. Set a 2.31″ height and 3.62″ width.

You want to enter a meaningful   title for the map.

Change the map title to Average Selling Price by Zip Code.

Display the Format Data Series   task pane, select the option to display only regions with data, and show all   labels. Close the task pane.

You are ready to start   completing the loan amortization table.

Display the Loan worksheet. In cell B8, type a reference formula to cell B1.   The balance before the first payment is identical to the loan amount. Do not   type the value; use the cell reference instead. In cell B9, subtract the   principal from the beginning balance on the previous row. Copy the formula to   the range B10:B19.

Now, you will calculate the   interest for the first payment.

In cell C8, calculate the interest for the first payment using the IPMT   function. Copy the function to the range C9:C19.

Next, you will calculate the   principal paid.

In cell D8, calculate the principal paid for the first payment using the PPMT   function. Copy the
  function to the range D9:D19.

Rows 21-23 contain a summary   section for cumulative totals after the first year.

In cell B22, insert the CUMIPMT function that calculates the cumulative   interest after the first year. Use references to cells A8 and A19 for the   period arguments.

The next summary statistic will   calculate the principal paid after the first year.

In cell B23, insert the CUMPRINC function that calculates the cumulative   principal paid after the first year. Use references to cells A8 and A19 for   the period arguments.

Rows 25-28 contain a section for   what-if analysis.

In cell B27, use the RATE financial function to calculate the periodic rate   using $1,400 as the
monthly payment (cell B26), the NPER, and loan amount in the original input   section.

In cell B28, calculate the APR   by multiplying the monthly rate (cell B27) by 12.

Create a footer with your name   on the left side, the sheet name code in the center, and the file name code   on the right side of each worksheet.

Socw 6070 week 6 discussion 2 | SOCW 6070 – Supervision, Leadership, and Administration in Social Work Organizations | Walden University

Read a selection of your colleagues’ posts.

Respond to the colleagues in at least one of the following ways:

  • Provide an example of an individual who exhibited an ethical leadership characteristic your colleague has described.
  • Provide an example of a leader who effectively faced one of the challenges to ethical leadership that your colleague has described.

Colleague #1 (Well Maybe)

Define ethical leadership as it relates to the social work profession.

Under the social work profession, ethical leadership is that in which the leader of any organization helps people understand their surrounding through exercising moral imagination (Northouse, 2021). As Northouse (2021) explains, moral imagination requires the person in charge to act on behave of a group to produce results that serve others as opposed to self. Therefore, an ethical leader should be characterized by selflessness.

Explain what it means to be an ethical leader and describe the challenges of being an ethical leader.

An ethical leader is a leader who operates under principles such as respect, service, justice, honesty, and community (Northhouse, 2013). The principle of respect requires leaders to treat their juniors as ends in themselves and not as means to ends. Human resources have their own autonomous goals and any leader who claims to be an ethical leader should respect such a feature. The principle of serve guide leaders is to apply the servant leadership approach in leading the rest. The principle of justice demands that the overall leader should encourage fairness among his followers. The principle of honesty requires that a leader operates openly and represents reality at all times. The principle of community guide leaders is to influence others to work towards a common goal. Any leader who applies all these principles in his/her role as a leader qualifies to be described as an ethical leader (Northhouse, 2013).

Ethical leaders face various challenges in their effort to execute their duties. For Instance, when resources are limited the leading figure will have challenges achieving fairness in distribution resources in the organization (Northhouse, 2013). When one principle of ethical leadership is interfered with then the rest are compromised hence challenging ethical leadership as a whole.

Colleague #2 (Vic Cuntal)

Ethical leadership as it relates to the social work profession

Ethical leadership is guiding/leading others based on morals and values towards protecting one’s subordinates and everyone’s dignity and rights. Ethics guides ethical leadership. Social work practice involves enhancing people’s well-being and empowering oppressed and vulnerable people (Northouse, 2021). As such, social worker’s role makes it crucial that they utilize ethical leadership to enhance the good of the power through the power they possess as leaders.

In social practice, ethical leadership is demonstrated by doing the morally right actions while bringing social justice to show people’s worth, whether the vulnerable or those working under them. It is delivered through using their power for the social good displaying integrity and competence. Ethical leaders demonstrate good morals and values in their practice and do not ignore any wrongdoings, even when it benefits their business. Integrity is at the core of their actions (Engelbrecht, Heine & Mahembe, 2017). Ethical leadership for social workers ensures they practice their values without compromise. In cases where there is conflict in ethics leading to moral dilemmas, they rank them in order of importance to ensure they make just decisions.

While ethical leadership presents many benefits, there are various challenges involved. These include ethical dilemmas and conflicts (Ostwal, 2017). Disputes can be from the self-doubt of one’s evaluation process during an ethical dilemma or conflicts of interest. However, as a social work profession leader, one has to balance professional and personal ethics. This involves following the set codes of ethics for social work and utilizing the leadership position’s power to influence and enhance ethical standards based on service, dignity, competence, and value for human relationships. Ethical leadership involves value and morals; thus, and social work administrators should reflect ethical leadership.

 BUSINESS LAW (LAW101)
LEGAL PROBLEM ASSIGNMENT
Semester 1, 2021
Question
Imagine you are a group of lawyers working in the legal department of a large telecommunications company called -Gateway Mobile-. Gateway Mobile sells phone plans, handsets, and phone accessories in stores all over Australia.
The CEO of Gateway Mobile is Sarah Lee. Sarah has contacted your team for advice in the following memo:

https://legitassignmenthelp.com/2021/04/09/business-law-law101-legal-problem-assignment-semester-1-2021/
Dear Legal Department,
I am seeking your trusted guidance about a few issues that have been on my mind lately. Could you please prepare a letter of advice about the following matters?
1. I have recently read about several ethical scandals in the media that have greatly damaged the reputations of some large companies. I want to learn from their mistakes and ensure that Gateway Mobile does not get caught up in anything similar. Can you identify two ethical issues that we could potentially face in our business and how we can take steps to prevent them? Are there any legal requirements aware of that relat to these ethical issues?

https://legitassignmenthelp.com/2021/04/09/business-law-law101-legal-problem-assignment-semester-1-2021/
2. The demographic of our customers is getting younger and younger. With the rise of social media and apps like TikTok, we are seeing more teenagers walk through the doors of our stores to sign up to phone plans with lots of data. What does the law say about entering a contract with minors? Are our contracts with teenage customers still valid?
3. As you know, we often enter contracts with other businesses to supply corporate phone plans and handsets. Most of these contracts have been in place for years. I have heard that there have been some changes to contract laws to protect small businesses, and I am worried that our contracts might now be considered -unfair-. In particular, we usually provide standard form contracts that allow us to increase our prices whenever we want, as well as automatic renewal of the contract (unless the customer gives notice to terminate). Do I have anything to worry about?
I appreciate your prompt advice about the above issues. Please make sure you reference legislation, case law and journal articles in your response so I can go back to trace the source of your advice if I need more information.
Yours sincerely,  https://legitassignmenthelp.com/2021/04/09/business-law-law101-legal-problem-assignment-semester-1-2021/
